Sarawak Cable Berhad (SCABLE) places substantial emphasis on community-based activities, as we consider these Opportunities to foster stronger bonds amongst staff while fulfilling social responsibilities.
On 6 September 2015, 27 SCABLE employees enthusiastically participated in the ‘CMS TRIBAL RUN 2015’ marathon (organised by Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad) with some running the 10 KM race while others joined the 5 KM race. Flagged off at the MBKS council building at 6.00 AM, our runners braved through chilly morning fog, uphill routes, and completed the race in good time.
And with a Finisher’s medal to boot!
When asked how they felt upon crossing the finish line, most of them responded that despite their fatigue, it felt good knowing they were doing their part for Charity. Indeed, participation in the CMS Tribal Run 2015 marathon ultimately contributes to various organisations namely:

Sarawak Society of Parents with Special Needs (PIBAKAT)
Kuching Autistic Association (KAA)
The Salvation Army Children’s Home
Hope Place Kuching
Sarawak Cheshire Home
The Society for Critically Sick Children (SOS Kids)
Sarawak Hospice Society
Over 2,200 participants from various walks of life came together that day, raising an impressive total of RM103,104.00 in donations to the abovementioned organizations. SCB is extremely proud to be part of such a noble cause. We remain, as always, dedicated to the Community and continues to do its part to Love, Serve, because we Care.
